Reverse Osmosis (RO) Troubleshooting – Pressure Drop Across RO System

Troubleshooting RO Systems can be tough at times. Trying to identify why a system is having problems can be time-consuming and sometimes frustrating. Complete Water Solutions offers both a Reverse Osmosis Troubleshooting guide and RO Troubleshooting videos to help in identifying what might be causing the issue you’re having. In this video, we discuss excessive pressure drop across the RO System.

Every membrane manufacturer has a limit to the max pressure drop across the RO Membrane (also known as delta P)
The pressure drop is the RO feed pressure minus the concentrate (waste) pressure or final pressure. Too much of a drop can cause damage to the RO membranes. We discuss a few reasons why that might be happening and what to look for.
