NORIT C EXTRA USP powdered activated carbon: is highly suitable as an antidote (API_ in case of poisonings, and as a high purity adsorbent for the purification of high value pharmaceutical products/APIs.
This purification product is effective in removing:
- Poisons and toxins
- Light as well as dark discolorations (often yellow/brown)
- A wide range of low to high molecular weight impurities (synthesis (degradation, condensation) side products, natural pigments, odor compounds, etc.
High product recovery with low carbon doses can be achieved in many applications due to this product’s extremely high capacity – reflected in a high typical ‘Adsorptive Power: Dyes’ (very much above the Pharmacopeia specification value).
NORIT C EXTRA USP powdered activated carbon has very good filtration characteristics – for high filtration rates and minimal filter aid demand.
NORIT C EXTRA USP powdered activated carbon is a pharmaceutical grade, produced by steam activation of 100% natural raw material to obtain a very well developed micro- and meso-porosity. This is followed by particle sizing and a multi-step washing process to meet purification standards required for medical use.
