Preventative Maintenance of Multi Media Filtration

Complete Water Solutions was performing a routine Preventative Maintenance on the Multi Media Filtration system for a Power Plant. Upon our inspection of the media filtration system, we found the media filter bed to have heavy sediment loading. This was due to not backwashing enough. Because of the preventative maintenance program, we were able to identify this sediment loading before it caused severe media fouling. Not backwashing this sediment out can cause fouling of the media bed and could result in additional costs with either chemically cleaning or media replacement.
