Complete Water Solutions is an expert in RO Systems and when it comes to Osmonics branded Reverse Osmosis Systems, we have extensive knowledge in operations, controllers, and Tonkaflo pumps. Since before the Mid 2000’s, Osmonics was using a combination of the Lakewood 2450 Controller and Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1000.
Since then, both the Lakewood 2450 Controller and Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1000 have been discontinued and made obsolete. Used repair parts are scarce if not almost nonexistent!
If your Osmonics RO System goes down due to problems with either the Lakewood 2450 Controller or the Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1000, that is not a problem for Complete Water Solutions skilled service team!
Our two (2) most common options to replacing both the Osmonics RO System Lakewood 2450 Controller and the Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1000 are:
- Osmonics / Veolia Burkert 8620 Multi-Functional Controller- This controller is what is used in all the standard Osmonics E4H & E8 Series Reverse Osmosis Systems.
The Burkert mxCONTROL multifunction controller, is a microprocessor controller designed to automate the control of process of the Osmonics Reverse Osmosis Systems. The Burkert 8620 controller takes the place of both the Lakewood 2450 Controller and Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1000. The controller processes numerous combinations of analog and digital in- and outputs. The 8620 Controller has SD data logging capabilities.
- Data and event logging
- Optional Ethernet or modem communication with email or call event notification & numerous input/output control signals
When upgrading from the Lakewood 2450 Controller to the Burkert controller there are a few additional items that are needed to make that transition easier, such as new backplate, mounting hardware, conductivity probe and pH probe.
Complete Water Solutions offers a turnkey service should you wish to have one of our experienced technicians come out to upgrade your Osmonics Lakewood 2450 Controller and Micrologix 1000
2.) PLC – Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1400 Controller with Panel View Screen. This controller offers a few more functions than the Burkert Controller such as a touchscreen.
The Micrologix 1400 controller takes the place of both the Lakewood 2450 Controller and the Micrologix 1000. The PLC options allow a few more monitoring and program options:

PLC Upgrade Option
With the PLC upgrade option you will still be required to upgrade the conductivity probe and pH Sensor. Some of the additional options may require additional sensors. With the PLC option there is no mounting bracket so a field mount on the frame of the RO System or off of strut on the Osmonics RO system will be required.
Complete Water Solutions offers a turnkey service to upgrade your Osmonics RO System controllers from the Lakewood 2450 and Micrologix 1000 controllers to a new Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400.
