Vitec® 1400 is a liquid antiscalant designed to inhibit calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, metal oxides, silica, barium and strontium scale in municipal feedwaters where there is potential for high concentrations of inorganic fouling, or high hardness ground waters. This antiscalant is compatible with the Avista® RoQuest® line of coagulants and may eliminate the need to inject acid. When used as recommended, Vitec 1400 will prevent scale formation and decrease the frequency of membrane cleanings, resulting in the reduction of overall operating costs.
Vitec 1400 has been certified by NSF International under NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for use in systems producing drinking water.
