Veolia RO Membranes | RL Series | RL4040FM

The RL Series nanofiltration elements are made with a proprietary thin-film membrane characterized by high flux and high rejection of sulfate salts, hardness, heavy metals, and recalcitrant organic compounds contributing to chemical oxygen demand (COD). The RL membrane has an approximate molecular weight cut-off of 200-400 Dalton for uncharged organic molecules.

RL Series elements are typically applied to remove and concentrate sulfate salts, hardness, and hard-to-degrade COD from industrial wastewater or effluent, such as cooling tower blowdown, reverse osmosis reject, landfill leachate, secondary and tertiary effluent. The COD and the concentration ratio of divalent and multi-valent salts to monovalent salts would reduce significantly in the permeate stream, thereby enabling its beneficial reuse and waste reduction.
